Architectural accessibility

Palace

  • Parking and the nearest bus stop are approximately 300 m from the palace.
Several routes lead from the nearby bus stops and car park to the palace. The direct approach to the museum is via an uneven surface, partly made up of fieldstone (the so-called cobblestone) and partly Hanse-Grand surface.
  • You can download floor plan of the palace palace and gardens with the impediments and architectural amenities marked from the museum's website. The most convenient routes to the palace from the nearest bus stops and car park are marked on the plan.
  • The most convenient crossing are lanes with traffic lights located by McDonald's bar. Cross to the other side of the street, come to a fence, then turn right and continue straight ahead on the pavement. On the way you pass a row of buildings on your left and a church, behind which the museum area begins.
  • The description of how to get from the bus loop to the ticket office and then to the palace is also available in a text format and as a verbal description in an mp3 format.
  • The museum ticket office is located in the building at ul. St. Kostki Potockiego. You can get inside by climbing up the stairs. For those with mobility difficulties, a post with a special button is placed in front of the ticket office. At the press of a button, a cashier will approach you.
  • The entrance to the palace, which is accessible to people with impaired mobility, is located in the right wing of the palace (from the Green Hallway).
  • The ground floor of the palace and the park are accessible for wheelchair users. The museum has folding ramps to make it easier to enter and leave the palace and to move around the palace ground floor. NOTE! Due to the historical nature of the site, not all the doorsteps have yet been removed and the length of the ramps we can use in the current conditions allows us to achieve an entry and exit slope angle of 24%.
  • Note! Due to temporary technical difficulties, people in electric wheelchairs are temporarily unable to enter the palace. The impairments will be removed as soon as possible.
  • The first floor of the palace and the Feast Hall as well as level -1 are not accessible for people with mobility impairments, in particular those in wheelchairs.
  • Each room in the palace features a chair that can be used by a person in need of a rest.
  • Additional seating has been provided in the North Gallery, South Gallery and the Raspberry Parlour.
  • A wheelchair accessible toilet is located in the Rose Garden.
  • You can enter the building and all its rooms with an assistance dog or a guide dog.

Conservatory

  • Only the 0 level is open to the public.
  • Steps with a total height of 36 cm lead to the visitor's entrance. Moreover, there is a 6 cm high doorstep at the entrance. The museum provides folding ramps to facilitate entry and exit from the Conservatory.
  • Conservatory space is large and accessible for wheelchair users.

Pump House

  • Pump House is not accessible for wheelchair users.
  • A path with an uneven surface leads to the building. The space in front of the building is covered with paving stone of split surface.
  • There is a 7 cm high doorstep in front of the entrance door.
  • Inside the building, a staircase (85 cm to climb) leads from the entrance area to the main area of the Pump Room where the workshops are held. It is not currently possible to climb these stairs. As recommended by the audit, the installation of a lift is being considered.

Villa Intrata

  • The access to the building is covered with an uneven surface - paving stone of split surface.
  • Villa Intrata building is not accessible to wheelchair users due to the stairs that are located at each of the three entrances to the building.
  • An architectural accessibility audit has been carried out for the building and we are working to implement optimal solutions.
